American Medical Women’s Association Chapter at the University of Houston is an organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in medicine and advocating for women’s health. AMWA offers a number of opportunities for speakers to share their expertise and knowledge with our members. Speakers in healthcare are invited to our general meetings, workshops, and panels to speak about past experiences and career advice, as well as discuss important topics in medicine.

As a self-funded student organization, we rely on the support of community members like you! In the next year, we would like to expand our mentorship programs to provide additional support to our pre-dental, pre-pharm, and pre-optometry students. We would also like to invite additional guest speakers to give exposure to a greater variety of medical topics. Contributions will also be used to expand our high school scholarship program.
