Prakriti was involved in AMWA for 4 years, working as the co-president in 2019-2020. She is currently attending UNT Health Science Center, working towards a Masters in Medical Sciences.
"One of my favorite parts of being an undergraduate student at UH was being involved in AMWA! By playing different roles in the organization, both as a member and officer, I have been able to grow professionally and personally. AMWA has given me some of my best memories, lifelong friends, and insight into what kind of impact I want to make in healthcare as a physician. My main piece of advice is to make work-life balance a priority! Too often we stress as students and get overwhelmed with classes, jobs, and more - try to have fun events and hobbies in your schedule so that you can avoid burnout and truly enjoy your time in college. Good luck and go coogs!"

Anagha did biomedical engineering as her major to gain a bit more understanding of how the medical field operates outside of a pure healthcare perspective. As an undergrad, she did research in fields she was interested in and tried to supplement all four years with some volunteering and clinical work. During her time with AMWA, she served as a Women’s Advocacy Committee Chair from 2021-2022 and then as Co-President from 2022-2023. Amidst her academic life, Anaga is making waves on her bucket list by reading more (any Percy Jackson fans out there?), finding new coffee shops, and hiking at every single national park! As of 2024, she is currently working for an engineering firm in her gap year!
